Michael B. Limberg, M.D.

Dr. Limberg is the region's only fellowship-trained corneal and refractive specialist and a pioneer in Laser Vision Correction. His research has been published in leading medical journals and he has taught extensively.

His expertise in laser vision correction serves patients as well as corporations, who seek his knowledge in their design and manufacturing of microsurgical technology.

He was on the very first team in New Orleans to ever perform the procedure back in 1986 and has performed more than 20,000 vision correction procedures.

Michael C. Heeg, M.D.

Dr. Heeg is a board certified Ophthalmologist and is an active member in the American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Heeg received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and went on to complete vigorous Vitreous Fellowship Training at the University of Kentucky Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Heeg specializes in vitreo-retinal services, vitreo-retinal surgeries, retinal detachment, diabetic eye care, complicated eye injury, and macular degeneration.


Noelene Pang, M.D.

An accomplished artist and scientist, Dr. Pang graduated summa cum laude with honors from La Sierra University, Riverside, California, with a B.A. in Art and B.S. in Biology. A native Southern Californian, she later attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where she received her M.D. and was recognized with the Merck Award for leadership.

As a two-year ASOPRS fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon in the central coast, Dr. Pang specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery, lacrimal and orbital surgery, facial aesthetic surgery, and skin rejuvenation using lasers, botox, and injectable fillers.

John W. Hallisey, M.D.

Dr. Hallisey is a board-certified ophthalmologist, and is fellowship-trained in both glaucoma and laser refractive surgery. Dr. Hallisey specializes in the most advanced glaucoma treatments, and has been in practice since 1980.

Mateen K. AliNiazee, M.D.

Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Eye Physician, Surgeon Specializing in Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma, and Medical Retina Care.

Dr. AliNiazee graduated with honors from Tulane University Medical School, New Orleans in 1996, is published for his work on "Bacterial Drug Resistance and Antibiotic Drugs," and fluent in Spanish.

Dr. AliNiazee was in private practice in Oregon before joining Limberg Eye Surgery.


John B. Cotter, M.D.

Dr. Cotter is a Corneal Specialist with extensive experience in ophthalmology. He specializes in performing comprehensive ophthalmology evaluations, cataracts and refractive surgery.

He is known worldwide for his research, publications, and symposiums on new developments in eye care.

Prior to joining the Limberg team, Dr. Cotter was in practice in North Carolina and received his medical degree from the University of Kansas.

Thomas F. Rippner, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Rippner has practiced optometry for over 25 years. His specialties include Primary Care Optometry, Comprehensive Eye Examinations, Low Vision Consultation, and co-management of surgical and complex medical eye conditions.

He has completed training in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular disease, including glaucoma, and passed a national competency examination earning an expanded license. See full biography
