Captique

What is Captique?? Captique is a clear gel implant made of chemically modified hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in all living organisms. It hydrates the skin by holding in water and acts as a cushion and lubricant to reduce damage to the skin. Hyaluronic acid is an important component of youthful, supple and elastic skin, helping to maintain skin volume. As we age, our skin loses hyaluronic acid, contributing to the formation of wrinkles. Captique is FDA approved to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.

How does Captique work?? Captique is injected just beneath the skin surface temporarily adding volume to the layers of skin that have deteriorated due to age. The gel, when injected, is used to raise depression of the skin, providing temporary correction of wrinkles and folds.

Is treatment with Captique painful?? In general, a Captique injection may cause some discomfort. Captique is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce discomfort. An anesthetic cream may be used to numb the area and prevent any discomfort. The entire procedure takes about 15 minutes. Most people resume normal activity immediately. It is recommended that you avoid strenuous activity and hot baths for the first 24 hours after treatment.

What are some common side effects of Captique?? The most common side effects of Captique include temporary redness, swelling and bruising at the injection site. These effects typically resolve within two to three days. A cold pack is recommended to reduce the likelihood of these effects.

How long will Captique last?? Overtime, Captique will be absorbed by your body. Since correction is temporary, repeat injections are needed every 3-4 months to maintain optimal results. If treatment is discontinued, the skin will eventually revert back to how it looked before Captique was injected.

Is Captique affordable?? Captique is one of the most affordable facial aesthetic treatments available in the United States. For more pricing information, please contact the office.
